Dreamer Dreamed - Part Four - Jumping Off

She wore matches on her feet but the floor wasn't made of charcoal baby, no. No the floor was the ocean. It was the seas that she walked upon, but this was no miracle. The water was frozen. And the matches, the matches on her feet could melt the world. She wasn't thinking globally though, no she was aiming for his heart. Tough luck for her because his heart wasn't ice, no. No it wasn't even broken. Tyr's heart was dead. And that's the way he needed it. Because when you're dead man, you're gone. And when you've gone as far as him, baby you've got to be dead. Oh you may walk amongst the living. Yes, you may walk, but he couldn't even walk. He was tied up inside this torture chamber listening to the endless footsteps.

Tap. Tap tap!

Oh god, I think I'm hallucinating.

"It's the drugs we gave you." said Terpsichore, "They're beginning to wear off. You may feel a slight discomfort."

Did I say that out loud? I can't tell. Dis-comfort? What the hell does comfort feel like? Well. I've forgotten.

And there's Valkerie, oh beautiful Valkerie, I've forgotten about you too. I hate you, but I can't remember why. How could anyone hate something so beautiful.

Why do my wrists hurt? My mouth is so dry right now. There no saliva! Oh my god. There's dust in my mouth. Dry... dust. Who would put dust in a man's mouth? What kind of a place is this? And why do my wrists hurt? Somebody give me a glass of water.

That's it! Tyr laughed inside... or outside, it was still hard to tell. I've figured it out, it's so simple. The cures, the cures for them all, for everything. I can cure anything, everything. But no one will ever know. I'm not telling a soul. I sure hope that bitch Valkerie gets cancer. I'll tell her. I can cure you, but I won't.

"If you can cure everything, why don't you cure yourself?"

"Whoa that's it. Get out of my head!" Tyr was beginning to think he was losing his mind. "I'm not the one who's sick!" he screamed, "You're sick, you're all crazy. I'm the only one who knows. I'm the only sane person. Why won't you just leave me alone?"

Tyr was certain now that his brain was fried. "Shut up! My brain is fine. I'm fine."

It's a pity really, he could have made so much more of himself, but I suppose he's just a lost cause.

"I am not a lost cause, nobody living can be a lost cause. There is always hope right? I know I'm not the normal type. But that's just because i know the truth. The dreamer dreams, but when he awakes we won't just die, we quite simply just won't be anymore. That kind of knowledge could make anyone crazy. All right then, I've made my decision, cure me or kill me, one or the other. I cannot stand to live this dream anymore. Take it doc. Take my life. Make me whole or destroy me all together.

"Because this in between stuff is driving me nuts."
